February 28th, 2008.

My sincerest apologies to those who may have been attempting to contact me via the contact forms on my websites over the last ten days. Unfortunately recent upgrades made by my webhost to PHP5 resulted in the (very) old .php on my contact forms no longer working. Sadly, any mail sent to me during this time has not been received. Everything has now been fixed thanks to the wonderful support staff and the contact forms are working properly, so if you had a question or query please try again.

Miniature Fantasy Art - ACEO's and OSWOA art

A.C.E.O - Art Card Editions and Originals. Miniature artworks 2.5"x3.5" in size that can depict any subject or style, but need to be kept to the strict size specifications. The artworks are sold as originals of printed editions with the prints being listed clearly as prints and numbered and signed on the back. To the right is an example of one of Michele-lee's recent originals titled 'Brigid's Fairytale'. ACEO's are very collectable and can be framed, stored in card sleeves, or in scrapbooks.

brigid's fairytale

O.S.W.O.A. - Original Small Work of Art. OSWOA's are miniature artworks 4"x6" in size. Like ACEO's there are no rules as to what can be depicted, or how it must be painted, but like ACEO's the size of the artwork must be adhered to at all times. These artworks are treasured for their collectablity and for the variety of means by which they can be displayed. They can be framed, stored in photo boxes, kept in small photo albums and scrapbooks.

Michele-lee has developed a passion for small and miniature artworks, despite it only recently becoming a focal point in her creative life. As this fantasy, fairy and goddess artist's commission schedule became tighter, Michele-lee found it more difficult to paint detailed large scale personal artworks. In order to continue to maintain a balance between painting for others, and painting for herself, Michele-lee began to paint smaller scale works until it became obvious that she had found a new obsession. ACEO's by Michele-lee are full of exquisate detail and are painted with quality artist's acrylics on a canvas of 100% cotton watercolour paper. They are finished with a clear satin varnish to protect and enhance their beauty. All of Michele-lee's miniatures are signed and titled, and dated on the back of the artwork.

Art of Faery is a showcase of that new obsession. Within the pages of this realm you will find no artwork larger than 5.5"x8.5", along with other tiny giftwares and collectables. To view the artistic jewels of this website, simply navigate by clicking on the links above or below.

However, if you wish to view Michele-lee's larger artworks, and see many more goddess, tarot, fairy, and dragon works not available at Art of Faery, then please visit Dreams of Gaia website by clicking on the banner below.

Updates and Happenings

January, 2008

Welcome to 2008. Michele-lee hopes your New Year has started well, and would just like to let everyone know that she could be falling silent for a spell as her attention is now focused solely upon painting the artworks for the Greek mythology based Oracle Deck for Blue Angel Gallery. If you would like to keep up to date with Michele-lee's progress, please visit her Journal as it is here that all new artwork and updates will be posted.

November, 2007

Art of Faery has had some new auctions listes, while Dreams of Gaia has been thoroughly overhauled and reformatted. Finally, the new wholesale website Dream of Dragons is now online and ready for business. Oh yeah, work has begun on the new greek mythology oracle deck for Blue Angel Galleries, the new 'As Above, So Below' meditational cd by Lucy Cavendish featuring Michele-lee's artwork on the cover is now in the stores, and production has commenced on a new oracle deck 'Oracle of the Dragonfae' by Lucy Cavendish, which features 23 of Michele-lee's artworks.

June 1st, 2007

Art of Faery has evolved. Michele-lee felt it was time to grow in a new direction. No, Michele-lee is still painting fairies, but many of her works will be moved to her Dreams of Gaia website. Fairies have always been a part of Michele-lee's faith, but for a-ways she has been wrapping them in a veil of fantasy. Michele-lee felt it was time to lift that veil and therefore it was decided that some artworks would be moved to Dreams of Gaia, while others would be retired, and Art of Faery would embrace the new theme of miniature artworks, and showcase artworks any fairy would wish to display in their home.
